Learn more about the TICE Eco Camp Organising Committee

We are a team of green aspirers seeking pro-environment changes through environmental initiatives. Selected since Dec 2007, our main focus has been to make TICE Eco Camp 2008 exciting, fun & relevant to participants.

Also, the team has also taken active steps in adding vibrancy to the environmental culture in SMU.

Recycled Art Display
Collecting disposable cups discarded by our students for 2 weeks, we sought to create a strong message of reducing wastes. With kind assistance from Mr. David Cheong, a student with the National Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), to help design this art display, our team came together to piece the cups together.

Mugs as an Alternative
Saying no to disposable cups and yes to reusable alternatives. Our team sought to add a new lifestyle to the student population – encouraging the use of personal mugs and thermo-cups. In support of our cause, several vendors in campus agreed to give more drinks to students who uses reusable alternatives.

SMU Environmental Week
In tandem with SMU Verts, our campus green club, we organised the inaugural SMU Environmental Week, seeking a pro-active stance in reaching out to our student community and informing them of their importance in being part of pro-environmental change.
